This is Ai WeiWei with his head injury from prison. He says, he cannot do long reading like he used to. But he will use his new disability as an advantage for his art work.

I don't know much about his issues with politics. But his now out from prison. I think that was 3 month ago when he got out. A co-worker who is chinese, and have passion in chinese history told me that Ai WeiWei is out from prison, after asking him if he knows about Ai WeiWei. He was in prison due to Tax Evasion.

I am more intrigue about his art works and as himself as a character. His works are huge man. And such a charismatic guy for his age.. more like that fat chinese buddha. Like a shoaling monk with beard in Bruce Lee's movie, Enter the Dragon.

I notice there are few or several… maybe more famous Chinese people that are being put to prison in China. Even Bloggers. Next thing you know, Jackie Chan is in prison.

Whaaaaaaaaat!?!?

Well thats what CNN says… This news is about 5 months ago. And again, it's just one of them stories I just had to write down.

Weren't the Libyan Rebels fought for democracy? I don't think ethnic cleansing is democratic at all man. Mind as well drop some bombs in all entire continent of Africa to wiped out all Africans. And that would include Libya as well. I can understand why their doing it. Now that Gaddafi is gone, the Libyan Rebels are hunting down black skinned who they suspected to be payed mercenaries for Gaddafi. To me that's just ridiculous. I hope the Libyan Rebels knows that the whole world was rooting for them. But this thing their doing is just not cool man. There are lots of black libyans. And sadly they are also killing them native black libyans.

I'm sure there were some other nationalities within Africa that were mercenaries. But those dude got payed. They could be anyone, including real arab featured mercenaries. Another infos that I found in the internet, are Gaddafi Mercenaries outside of Africa. Like this lady here. Now, she doesn't look black at all… she's not even arab! She looks hella mean though.. I mean, just look at her eyes.

Now some readers may questioned, "Ey man.. why do you even care about it.. you're like a bum. eh eh eh…" And my answer would be… "Actually, I don't… this was five months ago." But it's something I wanted to write about and look at as a sample. A perfect example. I notice things are being played over and over again. An earthquake with a 100 magnitude would happened in the year 3012 and they would always compare it to the earthquake back in 2025. And then the medias and scientists would make several television programed promoted by Dove infomercial saying "This would take us back to the year 2025! When the Golden Bridge of San Francisco finally been devoured by the Tsunami coming from Japan, as predicted from 1918!" But they never really cared about preventing it. Not 110% or more. They did sold lots of Dove shampoo products due to lice plague started in the year 2999. Lets just say, at least I wrote something about it man.

Another new years… 2012. So much stuff been said about this number.

Anyways, I got a bunch of blogs I still need to fill in from last year. Therefore I am going backwards in time and post them here. Which is the part I love most about this blogging account. From Blogger.

I downloaded this app about a month ago. Maybe two months ago. Someone posted a video in Facebook about it. I liked what I saw and several week later, I downloaded it. I play to it whenever I'm trying to kill some times. Here is a sample of what I did few days ago with the beat. And recently just did the distorted piano solo sounds this morning.

So far I like this app. It works well for making loops, ideas, and it's really portable. Plus they sound cool enough to be recorded as a master track. Just few thumb issues. I got fat fingers. Man I sound like a salesman… They should pay me for this dammit. Hopefully, I'll be able to make another one in real time. But here is what I got.

The whole world knows that Kim Jong-il has been starving his own people in order to pursue his game plans with Nuclear Weapons. But I'm a little confused here. Kim Jong-il seems more famous than any super stars that includes Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, as far of mourning goes. The crying doesn't surprised me much, Koreans happens to be very emotional people. Just check out Korean movies.. lots of powerful emotional outbursts. Even this one Youtuber who called himself a Korean Ninja is also an emotional person. He would be talking about a ninja star and gets emotional at the same time, crying over the day he first made his own ninja star. And his an American.

Anyways, I found out that I wasn't the only one thinking if it was a fake cry or a survival cry. In this site, The Hollywood Gossip says, these people watch some sad movies including "The Notebook", before attending to the funeral or any farewell ceremonies for Kim Jong-il, and put on a good show. Hollywood man.. thats what they say.

I was baby sitting audrey after taking her away from her crib while mother was making her some milk. I didn't like the tune of her cry so I got up from my bed, took her to my keyboards and let her play to keep her quite. Her hands was too strong pounding on my keys, so I pulled her away from my synthesizers. And then she starts kicking at the keys to make a tune.. I made a video to show her folks. I played around with iMovie a bit to shorten it up.. And it turned out pretty cool.

Syrian Uprising 2011

This protest started form January of this year. I probably heard about it, but uprising are everywhere now in the middle-east and anywhere else around the world. And then, I recently find out how fucking brutal it is, excuse my french. Now, I don't know these people, and I could careless because I have my own issues to deal with too. Their own military forces randomly started shooting peaceful protesters and innocent un-armed civilians. No rubber bullets, no tear gasses, no water hoseses, but real bullets.. in the year 2011. Damn man… I really had to blog it for my own record. I don't even know Syria. I did have co-workers and classmates from graduate school that were from Syria. I was invited to a Syrian night club once. They love wearing tight muscle shirts and leather jackets, they also likes leather shoes like some Russians do. Anyways, one time, I asked where Syria was, and this Syrian classmate back from 1995 says it's right above Jerusalem, and they are like Jews. Syria is also mentioned in the Holy Bible. Over the years, after knowing about geography, Syria is in the middle-east.

From the way I see it, they used and still using hollowed point bullets for their assault rifles, and Israeli desert eagle semi-auto pistols. Ammunitions and handguns that can make devastating effects to the victim's bodies and to psychologically ruins the people around the victims. But of-course these soldiers are trained to take it just because they are soldiers. And soldiers must not think like civilians. Same with civilians, some have the heart for graphic scenes and some are just stupid like chicken brains that's feels little pain. These soldiers probably brag at each other how brutal they are with cheerful reminisces of hand claps from their sergeants and commanders, and how these sergeants and commanders proud they were to their soldiers eating live chickens and rabbits, like pit-bulls on training. These soldiers probably think of it as a celebrity status.. maybe not even educated in general. Just educated well on their training as soldiers for Bashar al-Assad as ruthless security forces to keep him in control. I'm sure these ruthless soldiers gets payed well for their duties, they'll kill anyone who gets in their way including their own cousins.

My New DigiCam - Kodak Playsport ZX3

I got this from amazon the other day. Used but fair price. Some dent here and there. Built rugged. But so far so good... I like how clear it is. It almost captures the same feel as if you were back at the place where you took it. The downer part: it gets really pixilated in the low lights, looking like a regular mobile phone. And audio capture isn't strong enough (film are stronger for audio). Other than that, worth keeping, and worth buying a brand new one. Having three of these is cool if your doing some active projects (like sports and music blogs) and study your progress.

What's next on camcorders in my lifetime man. From 8mm film cameras, to VHS camcorders, to pinhole size digital surveillances slash camcorders. Next thing you know, they'll make camcorders to the extreme, digital atom camcorders built as contact lenses. Up to 100 TB memories. Not HD but 3D Blu-ray Quality. Transporting the captured videos to your main computer or digital storage would run trough bluetooth using speech codes recognition. Nothing has to pull out, insert, upload, and download. All in the air from your contact lenses. And hacked proof. In the future, they'll probably take privacy to the extreme. Prison time and everything, even death penalties in some other countries. What if that contact lenses also comes with additional apps - for instance, it can glow, used as infrared, see computer datas, and works for the blind perhaps? lol...

So thats that, Im still waiting for the fish eye lens for it. Along with a dock where I can place it in my windshield or on a bike and etc…

It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here.

God created our body so well that he thought of even this. He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.

Digitizing Old Film Videos

This project is done. It was done maybe 3 weeks ago. Maybe a month now. Capturing a bunch of VHS, Hi8-8mm, and MiniDV tapes, unto the digital era. Sometimes I still use the Hi8 just because I like how the video quality is. All I need to finish up too now are to continue scanning a bunch of old 35mm film photos, mostly from a shoe box and family photo albums that are falling apart. I was thinking, what if 2012 is really an accurate predictions from the incas calendar as a world's end. I just had to preserve them all man. From old films, to old 35mm photos. Just don't plan on placing me in a mental institution yet though.. because regardless to that, I really need to preserve them digitally, whenever possible.

Anyways, If you also wanted to preserve your old film videos digitally, I would recommend El Gato Video Capture. It's pretty easy to use. But only works on the latest Mac or PC.

Here is a sample video. It's been taken from a low light but it's vivid enough to watch them on my computer. They can be burned on DVDs too and then watch them on your HDTV and whatever. But to me, I intended them to be watched on my computer and on my iPhone, or to be uploaded in Facebook or Youtube.

Here is another sample of me playing Black Ops - Nazi Zombies. I haven't played this game lately so level 9 is the farthest I've been for this video. I'll post more later, to document my progress. Kinda dark, only because it's been uploaded online, and the game itself is dark. The original video is much clearer.

Music Studio Racks

It's been a long while now.. I guess that would make it 5 or 6 years of me doing this music productions. Which started out doing track layering of loops from Gargeband with my first apple laptop computer. The G4 iBook. And then decided to go a little further. And a bit more further. Until the creative process is pretty close where I wanted to be. But then, to me.. it doesn't really matter how creative the tracks are if the sound quality is poor. Therefore, I research online about sound processing. My family have this stereo since the mid 80's and it has these racks with pretty similar fashion compared to my family stereo. Treble, Bass, and the EQs is nothing new, it's what I used to mess around with when recording mixtapes back then. So I took that same concept and hopefully they'll work the same way when I do produce and record tracks. These would be my studio racks.

So far I got these three.

Presonus Amplifier - it has all the basic needs.

Bass Amplifier.

Equalizer.

Just waiting for another one which would be this one here..

A Compressor.

And then this Rack Cabinet. This would go on top of my desk. Then cables of course. Even an outlet strip.

35mm Canon Sprint Photos

I finally had the advantages to test my canon sprint 35mm point & point camera. Getting it developed still a pain in my wallet but these results are well worth the surprise. Got it developed at Walgreens, same place where I got the film. And so far so good. I'll definitely be using this camera for other things, other than events. If I happened to be out taking pictures, this camera will also be going with me.

The first computer I ever work on was of a Macintosh back in my 7th grade 1986, at Quimby Oak Middle School. San Jose, California. It had the floppy disk I first thought it was a small vinyl record inside of it. It was a fun computer. Made rockets out of the text and then print them out on papers. It could of been a PC too, but I do remember an Apple sign.

Again, what is up with number 5. Banks starts charging 5 bucks as well. It's funny how the world works sometimes in it's own rules. I was just tex writing my "private journal rants" in my iPone (instead of yelling it on someones face) about the difference between Eagles and Pigeons in my own opinions. And Mr. Steve Jobs is what I consider one of the eagles, along side with Bob Marley. That same day while at Rasputin record store, my second cousin Mike G told me Steve Jobs just passed away. Pancreas Cancer it is. Dammit I will never have the opportunity to see the man on stage. I wanted to work for Apple years before as a Quality Assurance Tech but I cant stand office politics. Actually, I never really pushed in to it. I am just a hardcore Apple user today.

Im going to need two extra file crates for these vinyl records. Damn… my sound system are getting distorted here as I get my iPhone close to my monitor cabinet. It needs a compressor rack. It started out just to avoid the janitor from work before clocking out in the morning. The guy would grunts while I am writing my reports (security guard). And the worst part, bangs garbage cans and keeps on dropping plastic cups to paper cups. Sounds really irritating. I tried talking to him to maybe not to bang stuff too much, but the janitor is def. I don't want to get close to him either, and tap his shoulder. He sorta looks like a giant Gremlin or that one farmer possessed by alien cockroach from the movie Men in Black part one. I suspect he knows I'm getting irritated by it. In fact, I don't even think his def at all. Well what ever he is. I don't like it. So I use my studio headphone with earplugs in my ears before I clock out. Thats when these audio collections come to play. As I listened to my the tracks, I notice I needed some upgrade to my iPhone tracks. So I dig through my CD collections and planned to only import few CDs to my MacBookPro's iTunes, and make few playlists. Playlist for my truck, to listen to while driving. And playlists for my iPhone's iPod, to listen to at some stores or when walking at the park. But since I can't really make up my mind which CDs to use. I decided to just import my whole collections of CDs (around 300). Most of the CDs though are of my brothers. R&B, Pop, and Gansta Rap from the 90's. There are several classics, that I like. Bands like the Cool and The Gang, The Jets, Troop, even Baby Face. In fact some of that collection, I can probably use as samples later on, to add them unto my beat. I usually start from scratch with synthesizers, but why not give some of that a shot later on (sampling). Most of the collections I had, I sold away to Streetlight Record and Rasputin back in 2001 when I was broke. From Tapes to CDs mostly SKA, Reggae, Electronicas, Classic Pop, Alternatives.. Not much of a Rap music fan. I did like typical hip-hop though like the Wu-Tangs, Outkasts, Beastie Boys, as well as Method Man, Afrika Bambaataa, Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hills, and so on and so forth. Anything that B-Boys can dance unto mostly. My little brother's Dirty South Crunk Rap collections isn't so bad either. Rappers like Trillville, Lil Scrappy, and Cash Money Millionaires. Almost funny how they are aloud to take over the radio. Like Hill Billy Farmers slash Pirates, sounding like the Pantera slash Prodigy of Rap Music, than the typical Low Rider Gangsta West-Coast Style Rap Music.

Okay, now back to the collection project. Since I am sorta poor at the moment. Most of my collections will be used and cheap. Maybe few new once but that I'll do by downloading them in iTunes (cheaper). Most likely, I be buying them in CDs later on when it gets old. Therefore, collecting Cassette Tapes is a must. Plus Cassette Tapes I can digitally convert unto Wav to MP3 files. The rest are LPs and of course CDs. No 8 tracks.

Oh man… time flies… lol! I felt like a kid at a candy shop the last time I went to Streetlight Records and Rasputin. Along with my cousin (Jay-Z fan). Bought me several used CDs and Cassette Tapes in a short amount of time. 7 CDs and 7 Cassette Tapes.

Like I said, I will collect some. But not to the point like how this man does to his 8 track collections. Worth visiting his collections and thats about it. I think his from the Bay Area.

Giant Crocodile Captured in the Philippines

Yesterday, my brother told me about a giant crocodile that they captured alive from the Philippines. Then showed me a video online. I didn't even know we had crocodiles. If we did, it would of probably been made unto a Sinigang (philippines soup based dish - mostly fish as main ingredients along with tamarind and vegetables.. hmmmm). Philippines don't have swamps. Philippines have many lakes, creeks, and rivers. Lakes are usually massive but never heard of having any crocodiles in them. They have other type of Lizards though, like the Monitor Lizard. Similar like the Komodo Dragons but just not as big. Back as a kid in the Philippines, farmers used to warn kids that the Monitor Lizard would spit toxic at you or whip their tails. Kids would sometimes used their sling shots to keep them away or when kids are just behaving badly with their sling shots (ehem)… Anyways, they also posed it on Facebook and seen it later that night. Which was last night. Amazing find. 21 feet long man. And it looks massive as well. Reminds me of the movie Lake Placid . I wonder if that 21 feet long croc does the same. Damn, where the hell did that thing have been hiding. Philippines don't even have coral life in every beaches anymore. All probably been cleaned away from dynamites. All the mussels and other shell fishes has probably been instinct (sarcasm). And to find something that massive out of the blue? Maaan there's got to be some UFO having fun with this. It also probably swam all the way from Australia to Philippines? There are also the Saltwater Crocodile so that could be it.

Now here is my hip-hop beat or instrumental music I made on 08/09/11. All original, nothing is sampled except of the drums beats, more like kits than samples but it sounds like real drums. I don't own any studio racks yet to dynamically processed and compressed the final tracks, so the sound quality is a bit dry as of now. I will be getting them soon to add in to my music lab. This beat making is taking me to another level. And I like it. Like I could make thousands of these, more like icing on a cake, eating an ice-cream, etc. Just as long that I have some racks to produce better sound quality with than just the creative aspect to it. I mean it's pointless to make creative tracks but then it has that peaking distorted sounds rather than that punchy, slash warm, slash colorful soothing sounds… I really made this instrumental beat for my relatives to rhymes with. Again, I am more of a electronica based hobbyist.

or Instrumentals. I am more of a Electronica lab based musician slash hobbyist. To be honest, it's easier for me to make beats that are synthesized than sounding more like real drums. Where some typical Hip-Hop beats uses. Drum beats like acoustic snares, kicks, hi-hats or tambourines. Sometimes TR-808 kick and clap (rather than snare) are also common for hip-hop, specially from the west-coast. East-coast has more of that old school jazz drum beats which I also like. Here are few beat makers showing basic drum beats using the MPC in YouTube. Something I do as well, just not as often.

Here is Boon Doc. One thing about Boon Doc is that he can get really animated. All head bopping and what not, attitude at the end. But this dude is a genus when it comes to sampling old school records mostly from the 70's or late 60's. Last time I heard of him in YouTube is that he transitioned towards the real thing like actual real instruments than just doing sampling from an MPC 1000 quantizing, sequencing, and all that. Even switch his well known signature using the MPC 1000 religiously with followers, to using USB type midi controlled MPC which is the MPD32.

Here is Kay Kay, I wanna buy few of her drum kits. Just because I want to buy some of her kits. I think she makes MPC 1000 pretty for us beat makers. Actually she's got some skills, and she'll devour any exaggerated egos out there that most beat makers can't take control of sometimes. Anyways, here she is doing her thing.

This is DJ Hellfire. Just recently find out about this dude, same as Kay Kay. This dude showed a bit of that basic step of making drum beats, but I'm more impressed about the way he sampled Led Zepplin's guitar sounds. It doesn't sound like a long track but just the idea that he sampled something different is what I find cool.

Bicycle - The New Invention!

What if Bicycles was is invented this year. Than it was in 1817. Everyone would be amaze by it. "Behold! the Bicycle… powered only with the Human Power.. That's right people.. no gas, no electric, not even steam!!! Just human energy!" All sold out from any local stores in a month. Maybe in a week. In a day? Just a year after being invented and then mass produced.

I was thinking about this three weeks ago till recently during my grave shift. There are several kids on BMX cruising by, regular folks doing early morning exercises with their mountain bikes, older people with their vintage cruiser bikes, and few road cyclers looking like slim chupacabras. Then I see motorcycles from japanese imports to american chopper bikes screaming like loud farts. And I thought what if there are bicycles just as fast than a motorcycle or even faster.

In three years, after bicycles are mass produced and sold out a year after it was invented, they would probably come up with an updated and more advance bicycle which is the "Bicycle Car". All men powered. Perhaps just as fast as regular car or even faster. That bicycle car would have the same type of concept as the Handcar.

The Bicycle Car would have battery operated starter (when starting at the stop lights - or needed advantages to rest - even as additional muscle as you paddle). And that battery was energized from a renewal energy, like the solar energy for instance. Perhaps it has four wheels or even five wheels. One driver, who also uses leg power, and two other humans as generator using arms or leg power. In twenty years, or maybe even less than that, the streets and freeways would be filled with nothing more than a man powered bicycle cars. Hopefully my words illustrates it enough about how that would look. I'll probably do that later.

Everyone would be looking fit, like people from China and Vietnam. Where they have evolve even more extreme about taking advantage of using a bicycle.

The rest of the bicycles would be the last to be invented. Backwards…. Bicycles like Racing Bicycles, Recumbent Bicycles, Mountain Bikes, Cruiser Bikes, BMX, Low Rider Bicycles and etc...

From The Bicycle Mechanic. So far, this is the only modern bicycle concept I have seen in the internet, since bicycle was invented in 1817 by a German Inventor named Karl Drais. Automobiles was invented after, around 1885. And it was powered by "steam" (hot coals). Then to gas, thats when it was mass produced in the 1900's. Because why sweat it when you can use gasoline.

No Tweeters, no Blogger, they have Google and YoutTube but certain issues like tragic political histories are blocked. Recently, I think Google and Youtube are blocked too. Most of their youth have no idea Tiananmen Square Massacre even existed back in 1989. Except for the few that can hack through it in their Universities. That's like the movie Matrix, where Neo wants to find out the truth, while the rest just think history is just a pass, pointless, and be better to just move on. True, at least the Chinese youth have nothing to complain about, no grudges, and just focus more on making their own pockets and country wealthier and wealthier. I heard Hong-Kong waste more food than Americans or any other countries. To me, thats like to not finish your meal in a restaurant shows the levels of how high your prestige is. Either that, or they are just too busy to finish a meal. The rest, I've seen it in the news. And a co-worker of mine told me a few. He came from Shanghai with a passion in history, focusing on Chinese & American relations. He says he wants to be a professor someday here in the States. Already submitted his applications to 20 Universities. To name a few, are Harvard, USSC, Stanford, Berkeley, and etc.

Lately, my brother told me about a lady he bumped into who were passing out flyers about regular people in China, who works out in the gym and then get tortured for it, because they might be taking steroids to overthrow the government. Actually, that was just a sarcasm. He did though have a flyer considering about Falon Gong. The art started in 1992. 3 years after 1989 (Tiananmen Square Massacre) it's the wrong time to start the martial art, but I guess it was important for some people to practice something a little more advance than Tai Chi, pretty similar type of principle. But I don't think there's anything suspicious about it. It's a free your mind physical and mental exercises. Rather than pouching and pushing the numbers up, where other countries needs the number too. Well, we all need the numbers, I need it too. But there's nothing wrong with relaxing away stress once in awhile in an open park, and everyone can join in, with none of that negative vibes man. It's not like they will do that all week thought out the month 24-7. Until they decide to keep it permanent. And in order to keep it that way, is to start a rebellion. If that succeed, most people will live like a slacker from jamaica smoking marijuana, from marijuana to PCP, making them having super power strength like Arnold Schwarzenegger to over throw the government. I think that's ridiculous. Just my opinion.

I got these two boxes yesterday. I already opened them, and seen what's inside of it. Which is a Gameboy Gray and a Microphone. Like most of my online orders, I used Amazon.

Here are the boxes already opened from yesterday.

First box would be the Gameboy Gray, all bubbled wrapped.

Inside the bubble wrap, is this geeky looking' black with purple striped fanny pack type bag. Probably from the 80s as well.

Inside that bag are these. Gameboy with some games and accessories. All functioning right, it sounds good, and it's used but still looks new. Came with 4 games: Tetris, Mortal Kombat II, Urban Strike, and Killer Instinct. Played them all, even with my Gameboy Advance, and it's all good. There are only 3 game guides, the one for Tetris is missing. Then there's this charger also. I think it's a charger. Although it is collectable item now, and they can go up to 500 bucks if it's brand new, but I order this not for playing games, but for musical purposes. An instrument called LSDJ (cartridge u can get online for 100 bucks). I've purchased a Gameboy Color before this, but I barely see whats going on in the screen, making me order another one. I doodled around to it already, I just need to take few tutorials before I go any further to it. Because man, this may seem like a toy, but it can really make some awesome 8-bit sounds. Even as samples from the games itself. What this Gameboy needs to complete as a functional instrument are to sync it with other instruments like: This Is Not A Bomb with TR-808 Drum Machines or any of them Roland TR Series Drum Machines. Even Korg Electribe EMX-1.

Now to my next box, which I also opened yesterday…

It's a new microphone. I usually use my Edirol R-09 when recording live sounds.. Now, I got me a C-1 Studio Condenser Microphone. I'm going to use it to record acoustics (simple chords), percussions, random objects that can produce sounds I like, and for vocals <--- I have few teenage cousins that can flow rhymes and they say they wanted to be big as MCs someday. So I say, alright. I'm just a hobbyist, but I do have the basic gears that most Hip-Hop producers has, and we'll see where that goes.

It came with a warranty and this thick plastic case with foams in them. I can always store it away whenever I want.

There it is, It's a lot cheaper than the one I was originally planned of ordering which was the MXL 990/991. Except C-1 has a better ratings, and good reviews. Plus like I said, it's also cheaper.. excellent bargain. Hopefully, dammit.

Norway Rampage

I've seen this in the news earlier today, after getting up between my sleep from a grave shift (partly sleep walking to the fridge, with a heartburn). The old man was watching it in a Filipino TV News (TV Patrol). The reporter was speaking like a machine gun, I couldn't understand what he was saying. But the TV screen shows the word Norway, footages of a bomb wrecked buildings, and words like gun massacres. I thought it was some sort of a Osama Bin Laden type retaliations.

SUNDVOLLEN, Norway (Reuters) - A suspected right-wing fanatic accused of killing at least 92 people deemed his acts "atrocious" yet "necessary" as Norway mourned victims of the nation's worst attacks since World War Two.

Police were hunting on Sunday to see if a possible second gunman took part in the shooting massacre and bomb attack on Friday that traumatized a normally peaceful Nordic country.

In his first comment via a lawyer since he was arrested, 32-year-old Norwegian Anders Behring Breivik expressed willingness to explain himself in court at a hearing likely to be held on Monday about extending protective custody.

"He has said that he believed the actions were atrocious, but that in his head they were necessary," lawyer Geir Lippestad told independent TV2 news.

Police said Breivik gave himself up after admitting to a massacre in which at least 85 people died, mostly young people attending a summer camp of the youth wing of Norway's ruling Labour Party on an idyllic island.

Breivik was also arrested for the bombing of Oslo's government district that killed seven people hours earlier. Norway's toughest sentence is 21 years in jail.

Survivors, relatives of those killed and supporters planned a procession to mourn the dead at Sundvollen on Sunday, near the island where the massacre took place.

King Harald would attend a service in Oslo cathedral, a few hundred meters (yards) from where a bomb devastated government buildings including the offices of Labour Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.

Police said they were seeking several missing people and the toll could rise to 98, in the worst case.

Lippestad, speaking late on Saturday, did not give more details of possible motives by Breivik.

Breivik hated "cultural marxists," wanted a "crusade" against the spread of Islam and liked guns and weightlifting, web postings, acquaintances and officials said.

A video posted to the YouTube website showed several pictures of Breivik, including one of him in a Navy Seal type scuba diving outfit pointing an automatic weapon.

"Before we can start our crusade we must do our duty by decimating cultural marxism," said a caption under the video called "Knights Templar 2083" on the YouTube website, which took down the video on Saturday.

A Norwegian website provided a link to a 1,500 page electronic manifesto which says Breivik was the author. It was not possible to verify who posted the video or wrote the book.

"Once you decide to strike, it is better to kill too many than not enough, or you risk reducing the desired ideological impact of the strike," the book said.

Norway has traditionally been open to immigration, which has been criticized by the Progress Party, of which Breivik was for a short time a member. The Labour Party, whose youth camp Breivik attacked, has long been in favor of immigration.

About 100 people stood solemnly early on Sunday at a makeshift vigil near Oslo's main church, laying flowers and lighting candles. Soldiers with guns and wearing bullet-proof vests blocked streets leading to the government district.

"We are all in sorrow, everybody is scared," said Imran Shah, a Norwegian taxi driver of Pakistani heritage, as a light summer drizzle fell on unusually empty Oslo streets.

"At first, people thought Muslims were behind this," he said of some initial suspicions that the attacks might have been by Al Qaeda perhaps in protest at NATO-member Norway's role in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Some terrified survivors of the shooting rampage said bullets came from at least two sides.

"We are not at all certain" about whether he acted alone, police chief Sveinung Sponheim said. "That is one of the things that the investigation will concentrate on."

Police took almost 1.5 hours to stop the massacre, the worst by a single gunman in modern times. "The response time from when we got the message was quick. There were problems with transport out to the island," he said, defending the delay.

Witnesses said the gunman, wearing a police uniform, was able to shoot unchallenged for a prolonged period. He picked off his victims on Utoeya island northwest of Oslo forcing youngsters to scatter in panic or to jump into the lake to swim for the mainland.

"I heard screams. I heard people begging for their lives and I heard shots. He just blew them away," Labour Party youth member Erik Kursetgjerde, 18, told Reuters.

"I was certain I was going to die," he said. "People ran everywhere. They panicked and climbed into trees. People got trampled."
The bloodbath was believed to be the deadliest attack by a lone gunman anywhere in modern times.

The suspect, tall and blond, owned an organic farming company called Breivik Geofarm, which a supply firm said he had used to buy fertilizer -- possibly to make the Oslo bomb.

Home-grown anti-government militants have struck elsewhere in the past, notably in the United States, where Timothy McVeigh killed 168 people with a truck bomb in Oklahoma City in 1995.

The district attacked is the heart of power in Norway. But security is not tight in a country unused to such violence and better known for awarding the Nobel Peace Prize and mediating in conflicts, including the Middle East and Sri Lanka.

I am interested of trying to experiment on to this type of music. It may sounds a little funny to some folks, but to me it sounds more like Transformer meets Vultron in a breakdancing battle. Really aggressive and intense type of music. I've already done few wobbly basses experimental sessions on my synths, but it's not quite the ones I want. Making me wish of having a Korg MS2000B to grab some of that rugged wobbly bass sounds. And then lay that out to my MPC. Then bring it back to Logic Pro to lay other sounds to it.

I know you can pretty much use any synthesizers to make a dubstep track, but here are the gears I would use:

MINOLTA X700 - Photo Results

I had the chance to try out the Minolta x700 camera somewhere around the neighborhood yesterday, instead of just around my house. The results are okay. All shots I took came out. It's not really what I expected to look. But it does has it's own quality. Maybe because I got it developed from Walgreens instead of the Photo Labs that focuses only on photography, which I am going to get it developed on my next session with the camera. Including using a high quality 35mm film, or even a slide film from a Photography Store. Photo Labs like Wolf Camera, and they are located not too far from my house. The camera was set in auto aperture, the only manual was the focus. Therefore, I got to learn few more functions about the camera later. Bottom line, the results are pretty interesting. Sorta americana from the 60's. I bet it looks cool on blondes or redheads with freckles, or people with really dark dark skin tones. Even golden brown skinned people. I like it how it's bright. Not the typical smooth effects that most digital cameras has but that's another type of photography. This is a under 150 bucks SLR camera. With an interesting results that brings you back in time.

I used two rolls of the three 12 exposures that came with the camera. I am not going to use the last 12 rolls man. I had to pay the same amount as of to pay a 36 rolls of films. That would be cool though, if they invent a portable film developer and you just pretty much scan the films, with professional result.

SIGMA 18-200mm Lens - Unboxing

I waited for over a year for this lens. At first I was going to buy me a Tamron 17-50mm. The Tamron is a good lens, specially for Rebel users. But I still need to carry a zoom lens regardless. For now, I just want a standard walk-around lens where I can only use one lens for almost anything I want to photograph: from standards, macros, to zoom. At a price range from 300 bucks to 500 bucks. I say, I picked just the right lens for my Canon 20D, which is the SIGMA 18-200mm. Optical Image Stabilizer (only in good lightings or with a flash, it can take steady shots even when lens is shaky). I got it from Amazon for under 400 bucks. Used, but still looks brand new.

Lens Hood gives richer color for your captures, and protects from sun flares and glares. But flares and glares isn't so bad once a while, so I keep the hood backwards like this, It also gets in the way when using the built in flash indoors.

Weak point is low light areas. Blurs badly when subject is moving, even when I set the shutter speed to Sport Mode. Unless using a flash, or have some good photo studio lightings.

MINOLTA X700 - Unboxing

I always like 35mm manual cameras. I am a DSLR user as well but there's something about the old school SLR cameras, or the regular 35mm cameras, that the DLSR cannot replicate. You can digitized an image to have that 35mm film quality look, but that would be just bogus. 35mm film processing is like a dying art. And there's not much Photography Lab Stores as it used to be. There are drugs stores, but they usually have drugstore owned 35mm films, rather than the high quality standard 35mm films. It's really not that hard to learn it. If you are used of the DSLR camera, all you gotta do is learn how to use the Focus and Aperture. Loading is pretty easy, just be patient. The rest are common sense later. It's also cool to hear the real manual sounds of a SLR camera than the digital effect sounds.

And there she is… It's a Minolta x700. Built in 1981. Got it on eBay for under 150 bucks. The lens is a regular Minolta 50mm 1:2. Missing lens cap, and no UV filter or any filter to protect the lens. I'll get that later.

I already owned a Honeywell Spotmatic Minolta and that too is an awesome camera. Just lately I've used some expired 35mm films. Most of it turned out okay. It has that experimental quality. You can check them out in my Flickr account.

It came with a zoom lens Vivitar 85-205mm 1:38. Wow.. it's sorta heavy. This is the part where I'm glad how these metallic lenses evolved to plastic DSLR camera lenses as far of weight goes.

It's even heavier… what a difference man. Well, will see what it does...

WASR 10/AK 47 - Fire Test

I went up to the hills shooting some shit monsters with nice shoes!!!

Naaaah… Me and Ralph (relative), went to the outdoor range to give my new WASR 10 a fire test. It's a Romanian AK47. A semi-auto. Base from reading reviews through the internet and watching YouTube post about the WASR 10, I think it may be designed for slow firing single shots only. Rather than rapid firing. It can't really function like the real Russian AK47, where it can take any type of 7.62x39 ammo, and any brand of AK 47 magazines. It can also be fired rapidly, to full auto, and to auto burst (usually 3 shots per trigger squeezed). I use to have a Bulgarian version and it has no jamming issues at all, as far of rapid firing. Anyway, the first shot of my WASR 10/AK47 went off smoothly, but the second one jammed. Like 2 cartridges going in the chamber at the same time. I fixed that, and the rest went smoothly. No jamming whatsoever. I sorta fired slow since my focused next was fixing the site. I also brought my brother's 9mm Beretta. I didn't score much that day, I just got off from a grave shift, sorta tired, and unfocused, but I'm satisfied the WASR 10 fires pretty smooth.

WASR 10 (romanian AK47)

All you gotta do is singed in, write down your license plate number, and pay $15.00 per person ($7.50 for youths 17 and under) per day. @ Los Altos Rod & Gun Club.

Manny Pacquiao vs Sugar Shane Mosley - 2011

I want to congratulate my fellow pinoy Manny Paquiao aka Pacman for wining the fight last night, against Sugar Shane Mosley. The third round was awesome, it's too bad Pacman's legs buckled after that round and cannot rush into Mosley's clever stand backs and run counter attacks technique. Hit and run type boxer. Most fighters who faced Pacman lately, does the same. As if they only wanna get few blemishes on the face, hoping they'll make it to 12 rounds without embarrassing themselves too much, and get the money. Hardly any toe to toe boxers like the previous fighters he ever fought before, when the winning price was pretty even. I probably do the same man lol. You never know what type of scientific voodoo magic has been implanted inside Pacman, after all those years of training to maintain his crown, you just never know (sarcasm). Plus the dude is loved by everyone, even people from Hollywood. You just can't hate on the guy.

Except when…… it comes to politics. I mean common dude. Are you serious? Filipinos, well not just Filipinos but Mexicans, even Irish folks probably walk off the arena right after you mentioned your passion in Philippines politics. That's like a slap on the face for some filipinos to be honest with you. Because there's gotta be tons of Filipinos in the Philippines, from the US, and in any other part of the world that are waaaaaaaay more qualified to take that place as a politician. They just don't have the same fame like you do, or like some of the well known comedians from the Philippines who moved towards politics. I don't mean to say negative about it. I mean it's awesome that a Filipino straight from the belly of the Philippines has made it this far as a professional athlete. From 106 lbs class to 145+ lbs class. And became the top high paying athlete in the wold. You made history dude. Like some kind of hope. Either that, or there just wasn't enough action for what they payed for. Sold out expensive boxing ticket.

I say, rather put that energy in opening up some Boxing Schools, or placing local libraries on certain barrios all over the Philippines. Few local Clinics. Stay in Merchandize business and maybe place jobs in the Philippines and abroad. Business, man… business. Thats even better than a politician. Your more of a modern Raja that way. And safer too.

Anyways, I could be wrong in all this. Just a quick opinion of mine about his move towards politics. If his for it then, it is what it is.. He will be whoever he wants, other than a boxer that the whole world known him best.

Milkfish Jelly Belly

It's like the Filet Mignon in fish. Milkfish itself is very bony. It has many tiny bones that can be annoying pulling them out from your mouth or pushing them out from your lips. Some folks are pro though, like my own folks. It's like they have special mechanical tongues where fishbones are automatically separated. Me in the other hand, rather go for that fatty part of the milkfish only. Where the belly's meat is also tender and no fishbones. The good part of the fish, I called The Filet Mignon of Milkfish. If there are restaurants that serves just that part of the milkfish. That would be a thumbs up restaurant in my list. It's healthy fat I think. Good for eyes and skin. Prevents cancer perhaps? Whatever it is, the taste of it is delicious.

Finally got the time to get one of my own. Some emo kids plays this instrument like playing Tetris. The Nintendo Gameboy Console is around 58 bucks, I could of gotten one around 20 bucks but some has missing parts like the battery cover and has scratched up screens. Mind as well go a little higher and get something a little more descent. All listed from Amazon.com, my trusted online shopping for me than eBay so far. Maybe I just don't trust bidding much in eBay, I have a feeling I am trying to bid out the sellers themselves using different accounts. Although I would use eBay or Craigslist for selling products.

LSDJ Cartridge is around 100 bucks. Didn't came with a manual so I'm gonna search that out, and save the hustle of potentially breaking it before ending up buying another console. I'll try to post what I can make out of it later. I'm gonna mix it up a bit with other sound gears, so it's not completely all 8 bit to 16 bit sounds, sometimes it has that broken bells or broken glass sounds, which I don't like much. Depends on the track your working on I guess.

The Cart. Got this few days ago. Cost around 100 bucks.

Today, I got me these... other box is for my old school Playstation. It's a power cord. I like Street Fighter 2 series. I was suck at it back in community college days at Evergreen Valley College cafeteria. So just in case I come across with some old rivals, like the Quangs and the Nguyens, I've been practicing.

So far so good.

And there it is. Screen doesn't have scratches, the buttons looks good, and I like the color.

Battery Cover is attached. And I am 100% satisfied. I hope it works though.

I was searching for some songs at Project Playlists but coudn't find it. I heard of mixpod before, I found it googling for free playlists. It's cool how they uses youtube videos. In the meantime, here are some music that I like. I still got few more to blog about later just to get it out of my head. Like my new diet. I've been eating lots of veggies lately. It's my diabetes that I really have to pay attention too. While doing so, I've also been preserving some old VHS tapes, Hi8mm tapes, and miniDV tapes unto the digital age. I've been using Elgato Video Capture and I am happy with it's capabilities. It sounds good and video quality also good. It's interesting to watch all them old home videos again, and have a different out look and much deeper understanding where my roots are from.

Tire Stack Dummy

I've always wanted to build a Kali/Escrima/Arnis "Tire Stacks Dummy" a year after I posted a research page about Arnis De Mano in Myspace. I still need to learn a lot about the art. It's considered to be the number two in the martial art tactical fighting method of the world few years back. I don't know about today. Whatever it is, this tire stack dummy works pretty well for any melee conditioning. Also works for baton training for cops, or security officers. Just like any punching bags, this is for using stick weapons from baton to rattan, wooden sword, wooden knife, as well as baseball bats. My total budget building this project is around fifty bucks. I got the tires for free.

I started out with these four tires, but anded up using six tires instead.

Eight brackets and two different kinds of screws from OSH. I also used other types of screws and brackets other than ones from the image.

Seven of two by four's wood (six was used). Under three bucks each. Not really tough woods but durable enough to hold some tires, and for some heavy stick pounding. Better to make few mistakes the first time on cheaper woods than some expensive harder and heavier woods. I'll even use logs like the ones for wing-chun dummy.

Made some measurements, and about to cut some woods with an old school saw.

It was taking me a bit longer to piece the pares together because the old man started singing karaoke songs that got me a little discourage. It was lame trying to stand the pares of woods together to piece. It was also Friday the 13'th of August, and I am not even superstitious.

Then mother also grabbed the microphone.

Got the stand done. And it's standing. Only six of the seven two by four's woods was used.

Went back to OSH and bought some brace.

Added few at the bottom also. These should make it a bit more sturdier.

The tires are all in place.

Added two straps for these tires as legs. One strap on top and one at the bottom.

They hooked up like this.

I also found this type of brackets from the house, and used it to brace areas like this here.

How it looks with a rattan stick and a regular long stick.

Now I gotta strap this rattan up. This rattan here is pretty light but really strong piece of stick. Which make it faster to use when it comes to swinging, and strong enough to break bones from one to multiple opponents. Just depends how you control the stick in your hands accurately. How fast and how strong without even thinking about it.

I bought me a baseball padded hand grip, and few baseball tapes from Big 5. I thought it was also gonna decrease the noise when pounding the tires, but nope. Only good for getting a better hand grip of the rattan and to keep it from breaking. It all depends what type of stick you got, maybe you might not even need to tape them up. The rattan I have is strong as it is. There are stronger ones like Kamagong Stick, Bahi Stick, and Hickory Stick, and then the typical Rattan Stick (fire harden or not), even Polypropylene Stick all mainly used for Kali, Escrima, and Arnis practitioners. Metal pipes and baseball bats are also swinging weapons with lethal blows, but you don't save the same energy when it comes to rapid movements from different angles, as the other ones I listed.

All strapped up, and all ready for pounding them tires.

I still have to scrub the tires clean, and paint the woods with some enti-rain seal to it. Other than that, it's pretty much done. My first Tire Stack Dummy.

Friday the 13th man, I tried to deny it. In the next day, after building this project, my legs started to cramp. So never again to built one like it by sitting down on the lawn for hours. I took few pain relief medicines but that didn't work much. Several days after, the pain was still there, and then I used this chinese medicine that old people usually uses from the Philippines. And it's called Eagle Brand - Green Medicated Oil, it's green, and the pain just went away in minutes. I've had it mostly for stomach pain. This green with heavy medicated smell medicine brings back memory of an old neighbor back in PI, an elderly man used to robbed them around his knees in the late evening, while few kids gathered around his house watching kung-fu flicks.

TENORI-ON - Video Session 080610

Here is the session video I did yesterday of the Tenori-On. Pretty awesome instrument as I am getting to know the gear little by little. I didn't change much of any of the sound samples here, most of it are bells and whistle sounds. So I went ahead and used what I knew from seeing other Tenori-On videos from YouTube and from the main Tenori-On website, where they show few demos on how to use it. I really like the different selections of operating the buttons when creating your tracks. It has Score Mode, Random Mode, Draw Mode, Bounce Mode, Push Mode, and Solo Mode. And I like them all. Much more to learn about this gear like layering and saving and what not. I am not really worried about sampling at the moment. Most of its built in samples are cool as it is for now. The only thing that sucks, is the recording part. When I try to record the tracks in real time through Logic Pro. That's when you know right away that sampling is one of the important key here. Everything else is cool. But as far as recording goes, either record them by a good quality microphone, or start with them cheaper or used but good condition compressors, limiters, and EQ racks, to maximized your recorded tracks. That's later project man. So far I am okay with the gear itself.

RIP - Redford White

Filipino Comedian Redford White, I didn't even know he was half white until later. I used to see the guy in a black and white television, so I thought the dude just had light hair. Funny guy he was even a part of a show called Iskul Bukol, I remember Red but can't really remember the name of the show. Maybe It was Iskul Bukol that I remember him from most. There's another funny dude that are gone, not dead but out of a show called Wowowee and his name is Willie Revillame. My folks is a hardcore fan of the show, and says Willie can sometimes a bit too aggressive towards the contestants or maybe even to his own set. Whatever it is, I will bump unto some real answers later. At least Philippines has Pacman, and I don't really care about the rumors of him going out with any fine filipina celebs on the side. True or not, the dude still an awesome boxer. Anyways, farewell to Redford White. He died last week from cancer of the brain and lungs.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao - Updates

Well I've been wondering about this fight. Some people says Mayweather really chickened out and Pacman is retiring to focus on becoming the next Filipino President, or on his his way of conquering Hollywood to be the Filipino version of Brad Pitt or Chuck Norris. I mean, if Mayweather looses, at least he fought the best pound for pound fighter ever in history rather than a lucky punch from an underdog. Calling your self the best and then turning away from the fight doesn't seem like a good idea either.

I don't even know now if he should fight either way. This is confusing...

Promoter: Pacquiao is “all in,” waiting to hear from Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, said Tuesday that the Filipino fighter has made a significant concession on a pre-fight drug screening plan with Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s camp, adding Pacquiao is “all in. He’s agreed to what they’re demanding.”

Arum declined to discuss purse-split negotiations but he said Pacquiao has agreed to submit to random pre-fight blood tests up to 14 days before a fight with Mayweather. The bout is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 13, most likely in Las Vegas.

In negotiations that extended into early this year and ultimately crumbled over the drug-testing dispute, Pacquiao declined to give a blood sample closer than 24 days before the fight, a stance affirmed by an independent mediator but rejected by Mayweather.

Pacquiao went on to defeat Joshua Clottey by a lopsided decision in March, and Mayweather easily defeated Shane Mosley in May. A fight between the 2008-09 fighter of the year Pacquiao and unbeaten Mayweather could emerge as the most lucrative in the sport’s history.

“We don’t care who’s doing the test,” Arum said. “They stopped taking blood 18 days before [Mayweather-Mosley], so that shows they can do it and be fine.”

However, Mayweather’s camp has not signed off on Pacquiao’s concession.

Arum says Mayweather is still deciding whether or not he wants to fight this year. The sticking point could be the legal situation of Floyd Jr.’s uncle and trainer, Roger Mayweather, who faces a coming trial date for allegedly attacking a female boxer last year. Arum said he believes “we’ll have to fish or cut bait by the end of next week.”
“It’s imminent,” Arum said. “I don’t think Manny would fight without [his trainer] Freddie [Roach].”

One alternative could be Mayweather employing the training services of his father, Floyd Sr., who has trained Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton, among others.

Regarding the drug testing, Travis Tygart, the head of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency whose organization oversaw independent drug testing of Mayweather and Mosley’s blood and urine samples, said an important distinction in the Mayweather-Mosley testing is that both fighters had agreed to be subjected to blood draws up until fight night.

“There was no restriction on when or how we could test,” Tygart told The Times on Tuesday. “We did not need to draw blood two weeks before the fight for several reasons, including the number of blood samples we’d already taken, the samples we were able to save, and the fact that no other information had been given to us that would lead us to test again.

“We always consider an athlete’s training when we test.”

That last point is an important consideration for the Pacquiao camp, who have said the fighter feels weakened after giving blood.

Tygart declined to discuss his involvement in the Mayweather-Pacquiao talks, but he highlighted why he believes it’s important for fighters to let the testers set the ground rules of who gets tested when.

“We didn’t need to test [Mayweather or Mosley for blood in the two weeks before their fight], but we could have, and that’s an important deterrent,” Tygart said.

Arum said, “We’re saying the same thing, that if there’s information that emerges in the final 14 days, we can go to the [state boxing] commission and ask for more tests. We can work it out. No one’s looking to pull any fast ones.”

Seacliff - 4th of July

Few shots I took from Seacliff. My lenses first time at the beach. Totally unprepared and unrehearsed since I found out about going in a short time notice. Most of the images came out better than expected which I will be posting later in flickr. And they don't have that 90's type image quality that reminds me so much of the first Bad Boys movie film quality. I don't usually take photos in a stalking matter like some pros do. But doing so, you'll know you're limits and how far you want to go.

Seacliff is a beautiful family friendly environment.

People boogie boards either way even when the beach was cold.

The place is also heavily guarded with security officers of all levels.

Tenori-On

There are so many secret tips and tricks in the world as it is, as if you don't even need to buy anything. In my case, I wish I know that much. And since I don't, I think this instrument is worth buying. It's Tenori-On, and I can't wait to have it by the end of this month and starts jamming to it right away. I've wanted it since the first time I've seen it around three or four years ago. It does looks like a toy, making it more less intimidating to play with, which also means you can be more creative to it. Not the standard quality for studio to some producers, but to me it has that down-tempo sounds I am looking for. And it's Japanese. Japanese instruments design tends to always simplifies, by transforming a typical music studio unto a size of a deck of cards. Either way, I like'm both, them little Japanese gadgets instruments and authentic sounds from a real studio. The iPad also has apps with similar feature debating if I would choose that instead, except the Tenori-on has a midi cable plug in. It's meant for making music and it's simple. I came across to this one dude. He asked if I was Filipino after another old filipino man pointed at me saying, "That security guard is filipino too." He asked where I am from and I said from the Ilocos. The man spoke to me in ilocano saying his from Bagui Philippines. We spoke in ilocano for awhile and I was impressed how similar our language were, even the way we pronounce words. Almost like being back from my old town in Ilocos (paoay). He says he was also a security guard in the Philippines for about 20 years, he then walked fast to his SUV to grab a couple of old 35mm photos of him and his buddies as security guards from the 70's.

By the way, Igorot are tribes of the mountains of Luzon. There are many different Igorot Tribes in Luzon.

He tells me, "Mangala ka iti paltug mo barok tapno ma secure iti riknam nga agpag-na pag-na..." But I told him that it's better not to carry guns around apartments or any residential areas, and it's not safe if I do carry any side arms. Plus if they see you in a none threatening manner with no arms, you are also be treated the same way. And the area is pretty peaceful. Well sometimes you get to asked some disrespectful or stupid questions by few people, specially kids. But those are things you expect from being a security guard. Some don't even want your service because of unemployment and other reasons. About being an armed guard, If I was in a mall, or some power plants, or any business environment buildings where there are mass lay offs, and protests going on, then that's when I would. At least a baton. And it pays a little better too, you just gotta take classes for some permits to be armed.

Sinkhole in Guatemala

What in the hell is this man. The hole is so perfectly round and so deep, it looks like a secret gate had been revealed built by the aztecs or the mayans or maybe even beings before men were even exist. I am not being exaggerated in any way. To be honest it's sorta amusing with disbelief, it's actually real. Lately, one of BP's oil refinery were attacked by a bunch of dolphins and octopus. It sucks they didn't have a plan A and B or even C until someone or something actually tried to prove us that, since Top Kill did not work. Possibly giant octopus and other types of sea creatures. I was wondering if it has a connection from this sinkhole in Guatemala. Also, I heard locusts will be flocking California soon this year. So maybe farm owners should be prepared for this. As a matter of a fact it already started. I was at work one night, and I've seen a bunch of mosquito looking insects that was covering this one building's glass doors. And on my last round as a security guard, most of them insects died underneath the glass doors and all scattered on the ground like wheat, you can actually scoop them up with a dust pan. I guess they were trying to get to the light from the inside.

I joined Yelp a few days ago. I was actually looking for some hats. I wanna wear other hats beside the khaki baseball cap that I usually put on when going outside or the beanies I put on at home. Not that I am hiding some horns behind my head, I am used of wearing a hat. And Yelp happens to be a very useful site to get infos from. Has maps, reviews, and everything, even photos. This is not the first time I've used Yelp, this network actually helps out a lot when I was cyber trekking all over California, as well as using Flickr, Lonely Planets, even Youtube to see samples of actual footage of the places. They just all go hand and hand together. So hell with it, mind as well joined it and share what I think of them places that I might come across to. Even the worse burger joints, or specially the worse timing to get a burger in one of them 24 hours drive thrus.

I would love to sample sounds like this... but then I can also try to mimic the same sounds through keyboards, slice them up and then set them to any padded sequencers like the MPC. Which I did to my track on "One Morning Trip"... All original, nothing was taken from a record, except of the vocal sound of Asha Putley. Other than that, yes I love the authenticity sound of the Erhu.

Easter... And what does it really mean to me.

Believe that, and that would be the faith in Christianity. Stumbling blocks is also a part of the journey, the same way how the son was also tempted on his journey... The son's preaching to me on this world, is to except the world as it is, but live it right, obey the laws of the lands, love your neighbor, love self, be human, spread the news, give thanksgiving (respect what you eat - respect your flock - or else), and hopefully the world will be easier to breath in. The turn the other cheek was just a humor that he made, it was not to be taken literally, the dude was just making jokes that when slapping someone from the palm of the hands first, why not use the back hand as well. It was basically answering the questions of his believers and crews when confronting the Roman authorities at the time, which is to turn the other cheek. Basically, meaning don't be afraid and be confident. I could be wrong, but thats what some historians says. And it makes sense to me either way.

Making Beats With My iPhone

Messing with an iPhone Apps called Easy Beats, damn I seem like a media sells man blogging about this. But it's a fun apps and easy to use. Reminds me a bit of iDrum except a with an actual pads like an MPC with portability. The sound of it ain't so bad when you open it up as wav file, after I uploaded it from my iPhone and then downloaded it from the internet @ http://www.hopefullyuseful.com. If you wanna use it as a ring tone, here's the code: 03173547. But it's just the beat itself with no synths and etc. I'll probably be making more later as a ringtone, but mostly for ideal beats even actual tracks soon as I get the hangs of it.

The Car Accident

These are the pictures of the accident yesterday from across the street. Just so happened that it was my brother's car that was hit while it was parked.

I was in my room, checking out the new iPhone I just bought, and then I heard screeching sound along with a loud familiar bang of a car being crumpled. And then an alarm went off. My family was eating dinner at the time, I already ate before them because I was planning of catching some sleep before my next shift at 12:00am. The accident happened around 9:30pm. So after I heard the accident, I went out and saw an SUV all flipped over on the side. I went back to the house and told my family to call 911. My brother went out in an instance because he recognized the sound of his car alarm.

The driver was of a hispanic woman and with a child. Like an infant. I was too tired to remember but I think the child was okay, the mother though was hurt (bleeding) but not in fatal condition. She manages to help her self out while the good samaritans from my hood came to her aid, by also helping her out of the car.

With all these stuff going on here, and I am sure they are all good people who ever that did helped. In the other hand, there's also a lot of money to be made here alone. I guess thats balance in a way (yin & yang), in a third world country it would take around a week or even longer for some real professional rescue. Now I am sorta concerned about my bro's insurance, we were just enjoying dinner...

My iPhone 3GS

I just got my first iPhone today along with a hardcore protective case, car battery charger, and some extra LCD plastic cover. And I am a little tired to get really excited about it, but finally I got one. Since I've been using a family member's phone, I was gonna wait until they either switch or have a verizon version, gotta get my own phone man. Mind as well plan to get an iPhone. I guess now, is long enough to get one. And it's worth the wait to have the latest version which is the iPhone 3GS with 16GB. This is more like a handheld apple computer than a phone. I still gotta mess around to it and still have to download few apps, register to iTunes and all that.

And there was some other things that happened tonight, my brother's car just got hit by another car while it was parked across from the street. I'll blog about that tomorrow along with some pictures.

It's about a book. I read this once and while just to kill time as I also watch around my post in my off time. Pretty interesting, I am not a Buddhist, but I do like how they present their philosophies and meditation practices. Not in a religious manner depending on how you define religion is, to me religion is a daily practice or some sort, with some spiritual guidance and not to worship a god. But to be one with that godly source.

I never tried this my self, which is what your supposed to place on your altar. In modern Christianity, stones or any type of objects are forbidden because in the bible it says god is a jealous god and nothing should be worship before god (or him god). To me god is not a he or she only but many unto one all together. Again, this is not about worshiping, this is being with the element that is a part of godly creation.

The Altar
1. Spoon some cook brown rice into the center bowl. This bowl represents the infinite.
2. Small amount of spring water into the bowl on your left. This symbolize yin energy (dark).
3. Small amount of sea salt into the bowl on your right. This symbolize yang energy (light).
4. Decorate your altar with attractive assortment of small rocks and flowers that you found around your home.

How to Meditate
Empty your mind: let go of contents.
Make your mind no mind: get rid of all things.
Concentrate your mind: make it unmoving.
Pacify your mind: let there be no fear.

To me, reading how to meditate itself while I was standing, already gave me some sort of physical peace. Perhaps that was the meditation part, other than like googling in your mobile phones. That too can be like meditation, just be careful what goes inside your mind...

South American Vultures

There are these big black vultures that flies around where I do my foot patrolling. Few residents including a dude that works there says they have a wing span up to 7 feet but I know that's a little exaggerated. One thing that could be accurate though is that they are called South American Vultures. And they are not as nastier than the well known scavenger type vultures. It's pretty woody where I work at, and when sundown about to come, these birds flocks around, sounding like some tree branch about to fall down on me, but it's always just them birds. Lots of them man, like some cool looking demons flying around up around the sky and right above and around the trees. And now, I realize, as well as realizing that the weather continues to be unusual as it rains while sunny and at the same time stormy with some rainbow also present, these vultures does not belong in the area (north america). Them vultures are from Brazil like the Amazon. The residents says not to worry too much about their droppings because these vultures only eats clean foods, and there feces are not as acidic than the African Vultures where they drop like some atom bombs that melts your skin through your bones.

I heard how crazy the resident was, and since it was a woman in her early 40's I didn't really think much of it. Just watch for flying objects every time I passed by her apartment. I was told she throws glass objects a lot. And most of it are broken glass. The residents that knew her says she was a normal person when they met her a year before. She had a job as a nurse, she was unto all kinds of outdoor activities and was really fit for her age. And then I was also told that she started having some relationship issues that caused her mental issues. And then, because of that mental issues, she probably lost her job as a nurse. It's pretty common to some people to have similar problems. But to my surprised, when I was asked to watch over a maintenance one day, this woman was really crazy. I've seen trashed out homes before but this one is more like a hurricane had been renting in. The residents also says she's been apprehended and was in the hospital. But it was a little unusual to see her out few days later and allowed to go back to her apartment to take her things casually. I even seen her getting her cigarette lit up by a resident that knew her. I asked that same person who lit up her cigarette about her condition the next day, and he says shes just taking her things, and after that she'll be officially gone. He even gave her a ride and payed for her to have a place to stay for the night. I think it was Marriot Hotel. And I was again, disbelief because she should be in a hospital for some rehab, but Marriot Hotel?

Shes got all kinds of magazines. Really normal chick stuff. There are even relationship notes posted on her fridge. But no one was really there but her. I rather not say what was written.

This lady gotta be on something to be able to tear her doors up like this.

Makes me wonder when was the last time she actually used this bathroom.

The Lost Boys

This movie reminds me of some old friends from the 80's. Specially my old neighbor and The Boys Club. It was called The Boys Club back in the early 80's and then it turned unto The Boys and Girls Club. For some reason, I think it's more of a baby sitting place now, than summer camps type of program. Makes me wonder what is up with them other kids. It's the year 2010 now and still there's no flying cars. Just military type recruits from the streets and beyond. Most people don't have much of a choice I guess, certain skills belongs to the ones that can afford to buy uthorities and control over societies more and more, and some of them ain't really safe because their main skills are hustling, than producing adaptable creations. When it does comes to creations, a sample of that are fast and hybrid engine cars with no breaks. And does flies about 30 to 60 feet high from up above the freeways and landing to the roof tops of the trailer parks. I could be wrong though, these are just few things that I see and hear from the news, and my sarcastic opinions.

Other than that, The Lost Boys is an awesome movie. Makes me wanna go up to Santa Cruz and walks around like a vampire slayer around the boardwalk at midnight after reading some collectible comic books. Don't take this literally now, this is just a reminisces of my teen years.

Small Plane Crashes Into Texas IRS Bldg

They said it's a twin engine plane. It could be one of the twin engine jet planes that most rockstars use for flying. Which are a little bigger than a single engine plane, with a propeller. The first thing that came to mind when it was mentioned that it was Texas, and that the building was an IRS angency, was the home grown mellisias or perhaps just a coincedental accident. It can't be from a islamist extemist groups because those soldiers usually targets areas with lots of people around or within an area. But then small planes crashes most of the time, ducks and pigeons usually gets sucked inside the plane's engines, or smashed itself to the plane's windshield.

Is it valentine today or yesterday or tomorrow...? Sometimes it's hard to tell when having shifts on mixed days, from swings, mornings, and graves. No I ain't complaining here, so far so good, and I am satisfied with the off times. Plenty of time to do music and other things that needs to get done. Never the less, as a security officer, there are always that common concerns. I will blog a small glimpse of where I am stationed later. Not too much details for safety reasons (only) and privacy of the clients. One station is only 5 minutes away from where I live. The other is in a different city but it's the closest city from mine. Pretty cool and luxurious, almost like going on a hike in the woods, along with electronic motors and peacefull residents...

Anyway, I posted this video yesterday in youtube. I really dig how it is composed, and it has cool rhythm. Pretty classy. Good for sampling. The only thing is that, I have no idea what the title of this track is. The album is in Japanese...

Badge and Uniform

This could be my last blog for now, but then I realized I need to keep track to some informations on this page. So mind as well keep it. Speaking of what are needed, I got hooked up of being productive again (tax). Thanks to a Godson whose been in the same company for two years. Hopefully I can save up for the other things I need. And among other things. (like rent).

I showed my guard card, got interviewed, took a four hours test, and got me the badge. I even got pulled over by a cop on my way there.

And these are the uniform. My feet were sore, felt really tired, had a head ache, but I had enough sleep to regain my senses, and ready for the next shift.

Ableton Live Demo

Messing with Ableton Live Demo and I accidentally click on record while jamming. Mostly break beats, tr-808 beats, reggae beats, some crazy sounding synth fx, and few scratch samples from DJ Q-bert. You can't save on this demo, so mind as well record it on video and share it. I have the full version of Ableton Live but I stupidly placed the RAMs on the carpet while vacuuming the dust out from my Apple G5 Tower. I am gonna have to wait till I get new RAMs, and hopfully soon. For now, I am stuck with my old laptop that are compatible only to demos, as well as doing sequencing in my MPC, just to relief some stress man. I guess I was too comfortable on Logic Studio, that I was somewhat intimidated to Ableton Live 3 years ago, or maybe 4. So far the basic in Ableton Live is pretty flexible. Now it makes more sense, of how much more flexible that would be if I hook it up with Akai MPD32 or Akai APC-40...

Cigarette

I went to the backyard few days ago wishing of having a cigarette (actually I quit smoking), it was not raining, and the skies looks pretty cool enough to photograph. Looks so inviting. Then I remember the notes I've been writing during the summer time and thought about maybe going a little further, not too far, just at the park near by...

Free TR-808 Samples

A day or two before the earthquake in Haiti there was a 4.1 earthquake and few little shock before that in the bay area. The local news says the center of the earthquake was in Milpitas City, just a few miles from the house. Today the clouds are making noises again for about 3 days now, there are loud thunders but I didn't notice any lightnings. Supposedly, there was this hardcore storm that was gonna blow away some roof tops, but that didn't happened today as expected.

And man, I was right about my optimism about the place where I got interviewed. What ever it was, my nightmares seemed to gone away. The memory when I was around 13 probably hunted me till then and forgot about the source of it. It is not very pleasant to see. The photographs I've seen sent from my folk's work looks so happy back then, and I didn't had any idea what was behind it. No, they didn't do any bad things, it just made me more realize what they had to see to make a living. Science is amazing man, and creepy at the same time. I mean if you are an artist and all, what people find as normal can creep you up sometimes. Well most of the time. I don't mean to point out anyone in a bad ways either, it's my own personal perspective on things, some people are stronger in the mind than others, just depends if they even notice them.

Anyways, I downloaded some TR-808 samples over the internet and load them up to my MPC. Made a simple sequence and it sounds pretty authentic enough. Added few jam to it with a synth and key strings. Trying to balance old school beat, retro, and classic into modern. It's a little out of jam but I will clean it up and perhaps make a full track out of it. Thanks to this site from The TR-808 Zone for their free samples.

Making Noise 011310

Call it noise, industrial, experimental, but whatever it is, it feels really free to do it. Almost liberating. I didn't use any of the banks which I should do next time. If I use the banks, that would also be more like using field recorded samples, and then tweaked them up to make some noise. It's not just any noise either because anyone could just bang some pots and pans. I still need a microphone and perhaps speak in tongue to it. This method is not necessarily for attracting an audience, that would be something else, which is making music. Music meaning something orchestrated from scratch unto melodies, and I do that when the time is just right.

My prayers and thoughts also goes to the victims of 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Did you know that Haiti was once dictated by a Voodoo Doctor named Francois Duvalier. Based on the television news, Haitians really lack resources. In Haiti they use lots of concrete blocks, and cements more than woods. Not much local doctors, and nurses, even proper schooling programs, but they do have foreign volunteers.

Watching the news about Haiti makes me wanna volunteer, and to take advantage of doing photojournalism. And then I thought about the smell of death after the third day man. But I'll check on that later about certain volunteering for photojournalism. All I need is a descent honest portfolio and volunteering would be the best way to do it, if you can get in. Other than that, my fingers are crossed about my interview tomorrow, so far I seem to like the job and I want it. I am not too optimistic yet, but I will blog about what it is, if I get it.

The year went by too damn fast. I am still not in the mood of finding about the Mexican Calendar that was said about this year. So far I am done cyber trekking europe, I am now trekking few islands of the pacific. The only parts of the pacific that I finished were of asia. Which was The Philippines and Indonesia. Straight out from Fantasy Paintings of Boris Vallejo. A little twist from the movie The New World. Worth watching again, I wish the screen I watch it from was a lot wider. Flying with the Banshees were like riding on flying dragons (asian version). That was cool. This movie is enough for now, until Robin Hood which is worth watching in a theater. The rest I planned to go see can wait till they come out on DVDs. Robin Hood probably has a love story too, other than action pack. Which was the part I forgot about James Cameron flicks, his good at adding love stories to his action and drama films. This Avatar movie in particular is Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Awesome visual effects from Industrial Light and Magic based in San Rafael.

The Na'vi Natives has different mixtures that reminds me of what earth has, including culturally wise. The Na'vi evolved from felines rather than apes. They are blue like the East Indian Goddess named Ramayana. Culturally wise like the Woodland Native American Indians. I've seen some gunstock war clubs that most Native American Warriors has in the movie. The Na'vi Natives also does tribal ceremonies like the Polynesians and Balinese Kecak Dance. It's cool how they present what I always thought about nature dwellers, which is some sort of a global networks that connects all. From the trees, plants, animals, soils, to insects, and more, are all connected, even their ancestors that had been long gone, are still a part of them. Makes me wonder about how certain cultures gets so successful sometimes in their personal businesses (they do a lot of food offerings to the dead), some religious belief would say thats paganism, or from a demonic source, and to me thats just plain ignorance to makes such remarks.

The Native Americans also believes that their ancestors are also watching over them from the woods, rivers, or from the rocky mountains. When they hunt, they give thanks to the prey right before or after they kill the animal.

I wouldn't say the movie is about the current war, or against it. Although there are parts that are very familiar. The war "in the movie" is definitely corporate domination that fights with no soul, but for power and simply to gain access to help their own economic crises. It's nothing about Kingdoms and Spiritual reasons. I could be wrong, but maybe Kingdoms and Chieftains with good moral advisors should always comes first, and then economic purposes. Nature always has enough to provide for all, as long as they are not for exchanging gold and silvers.

In reality, certain areas about exchanging gold and silvers are a little too late man, it's better to just go with the flow, but with some considerations of what most people find as primitive. I think that's what the movie was also about. You never know, maybe the ancient people had much more advance technology than a laptop. Like using visualizations of what a hawk can see from a far away (like a satellite).

There was this classic movie from the 80's, kinda cheesy now. I forgot the title. He looks like He-Man, with some bad guys using crystal balls. I think it was The Beastmaster.

Christmas 2009

Here are what was inside the tree boxes I blogged about from 12/07/09. I forgot Christmas starts in the 24th. The old man was singin' karaoke about some loner - and then I realized it's probably Christmas.

But I was actually surprised Christmas turned out really well after my Sister and Mike arrived to celebrate Christmas Eve...

I got myself a portable heater. I already have one but the chord blew up - I fixed it, but it's better to rely on a new one. Plus this one seems to save more energy than my older heater.

For anyone that never read the Holy Bible, I best recommend to start in the Book of John. Then the Book of Genesis, Psalms, and then the Book of Revelation. The Book of Revelation is very symbolic, and really abstract if you don't understand the language of the prophets. In order to understand them, I heard you have to read the whole book from the beginning to end of The Old, or The First Testaments - 2 versions: Old Testaments (Hebrew and Islam), and New Testaments (Jesus Stuff - people who believes Jesus was the awaited Messiah). The Holy Book is a living thing - it's not some Catholic Decoration that you just place in on altar. You'll be surprised how modern it is in its own meaning. The Book of Revelation is like some hip-hop and spaced out language straight from a Beastie Boys Video or some sort...

San Roque Shrine

I came across this site yesterday, I didn't know there was a TV Patrol (philippines national news network) from Ilocos Norte, based from Laoag City. Not too far from Paoay where I was born. Anyway, there is this Water Well called San Roque Shrine, that were in the news, near the house we used to live at. The well is right in front of a relative's house (Bagamaspad Family). People from other provinces comes to Paoay to visit the well in the belief of being cured from their illness by its water. Some locals finds it amusing, why these outsiders believe such a thing. And some locals place candles, and drop coins after making a wish.

The well is pretty humble looking, and it ain't the typical shrine of the orient. Altho there was a statue of a saint, that was facing the well, possibly made of bronze or maybe even gold.

Sprite and Popcorn

They are a little crumpled on the top, since I tried to remember the last time I wrap these types of presents. To me this is more than what I've been saving for, just to check out the movie The Road, Ninja Assassin, and Avatar, along with medium size sprites and medium bag popcorns with lots of butter. At least something this year man. There should be more I be giving out, but I wish them to have a good holidays. These presents here are for 3 couples which makes that 6 people. I am just glad I got these done a lot sooner. I still got few more trekking to do online. I'll blog about what's inside them later...

Philippines Election Massacre

I heard about this yesterday, but I didn't payed much attention to it plus I haven't been watching the news. Not even the Philippines Network or CNN. And then my brother mentioned that it was a massacre of 50 plus something people including journalists. A massacre? This ain't just abductions of one scholar in a month or twice a month, but all in one day in broad day light. Most of the finest journalists they have in Maguindanao of the southern Philippines are probably all gone with their stories buried with them.

This is Ismael Mangudadatu filed to run for governor of Maguindanao province. You see him in Philippines network not showing any sign of sadness because he promised not to show any weaknesses. He controlled himself pretty well when he spoke about the gruesome details on how his wife were killed.

The motive was to make peace with the rival clans. Ismael Mangundadatu was not part of Monday's convoy because of threats on his life, so he sent female relatives in the belief that women would be spared. In the massacre were his wife, sisters, relatives, and supporters, along with local journalists, and lawyers.

SHARIFF AGUAK, Philippines – Undeterred by the deadly attack that killed 57 in a campaign convoy, Ismael Mangudadatu filed to run for governor of Maguindanao province Friday, heavily guarded by police and soldiers.

His candidacy poses an unprecedented challenge to the Ampatuan clan, which was implicated in Monday's massacre. "Only death can stop me from running," he said.

A day after burying his wife, sisters and many other relatives, Mangudadatu traveled past the spot where they were killed along with supporters and journalists who were stopped and gunned down on their way to file election papers on his behalf. Many of the dead were dumped in mass graves.

"This symbolizes our freedom. I hope this will be the start of our liberation," he said, holding up his certificate of candidacy in front of reporters and hundreds of cheering followers.

His 50-vehicle caravan was escorted by soldiers, a police commander, a senior army general and hundreds of supporters. Mangudadatu was not part of Monday's convoy because of threats on his life. He sent female relatives in the belief that women would be spared.

Prosecutors, delayed by a two-day holiday, said they will file multiple murder charges Tuesday against Andal Ampatuan Jr., heir of the clan that has ruled Maguindanao for years.

Several witnesses came forward, including one of the gunmen who claimed he saw Ampatuan order the killings and fire his weapon, said Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera.

Ampatuan told reporters from his detention cell in Manila that at the time of the massacre he was at the municipal hall in Datu Unsay township, where he's the mayor. He denied any role.

He turned himself in Thursday under threat of military attack on his family's compound.

The clan's patriarch, Andal Ampatuan Sr., and six other family members, including the governor of the autonomous Muslim region, are considered suspects and are not allowed to leave the country, Devanadera said. They were implicated in witnesses' statements, she said, refusing to elaborate.

Police said six senior officers, including the provincial police chief and his deputy, 20 members of Ampatuan township's police station and nearly 400 militiamen were in custody. Not all were considered suspects.

Interior Secretary Ronaldo Punourity said he would seek the replacement of the entire provincial political structure.

Faced with domestic and international outrage over the killings — the bloodiest in recent history — President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo authorized a crackdown on the clan that helped her and her allies win the 2004 presidential and 2007 senatorial elections.

Arroyo's ruling party expelled Ampatuan from their ranks, along with his father and a brother, while the president repeatedly vowed justice for the victims.

Devanadera said more than 20 women were among the slain, and the pants of some female victims were unzipped and lowered. Police said, however, that autopsies were not finished and reports of rape were not substantiated.

At least 22 journalists working for newspapers, TV and radio stations in the southern Mindanao region were among the dead. It was the most reporters killed in a single attack anywhere in the world, according to media groups.

Troops and police poured into the rural, impoverished province. Checkpoints were set up along highways and tanks deployed in the provincial capital.

Many hope that the fallout from Monday's massacre will lead to the end of the Ampatuan's violent grip on Maguindanao's politics.

"Our people were like strangled with a rope for a long time," said Arnold Fernandez, administrator of Buluan town, which is led by a Mangudadatu. "We seem to be moving to a new era."

World's Largest Horns

I don't know where this bull is from but I thought it was fake. I checked out the rest of his photos, and they seemed to be real. Unless the person who did the photoshop is real good.

This is Lurch, the proud bearer of the world’s largest horns. Lurch is a Watusi bull living in an Animal shelter, whose horns measure 92.25 cm and weigh more than 100 pounds each. He’s quite the attraction in his home state and he’s favorite pass-time is acting as bodyguard for a crippled horse that’s being harassed by fellow horses.

Fried Turkey

I haven't been posting lately, I've been doing some world trekking through the internet. All the places I would wanna check out, or if I were in the Navy. So far I am done with Asia, all of Asia, and all about each countries in Asia, except places like North Korea or other small Islands that pretty much has coconut trees and lava rocks. I am also done with Africa, just few places like Kenya with their awesome National Park, and Latin America including the Caribbean. Right now, I am on Europe except hostile regions like Bosnia and the rest of the Slovaks Nations. I know Serbia was a hostile country in the 90's, but I am sure it should be aight to visit there today. I still have The Middle East and The Pacific to check out. Later when I have the time, is to trek California on the road and on foot. I've been to most areas in California, but never had the chance to photograph them. And then so on...

Pretty awesome movie. Youtube should have more free movies like this, rather than the divided sections of a movie posted in Youtube. I didn't even know there are Hindus living in Pakistan (Islam Nation). It's a bit of a twist to know some Hindus are calling a town in Pakistan as a home, when India where the majority are Hindus is a place where they were en-prisoned to by accidentally crossing the border.

Dog Biscuits and a Pomeranian

It's pretty windy right now in San Jose. And what is up with them storms or even typhoons with funny names that keeps on forming around the Philippines man. Gotta be the climate change. They showed a footage of my hometown last past week, which was Paoay, Ilocos Norte. Paoay Lake was overflowed but other areas seems to look alright, except for some old trees. Thanks for the cute lady with the Lacoste shirt for telling the news.

Philippines Disaster Mapping - Pepeng

Cool Interactive Mapping of the Philippines current typhoon called Pepeng. It's powered by Google, modified by the GMA Philippines News Network with the help of volunteers from the UK. This is cool. Not too long ago, before the Typhoon Ketsana hits Philippines, I was just checking out the Philippines Google Map specially the region where I was born and grew up till the age of 12. I wish they had navigators that mapped out the roads on the ground, like the ones they have for US regions, except for Hawaii. The US Google Map navigator has a little man icon where you place him on the road, and it will show 360 degree angle of the road's surroundings, showing actual photo images. I was trippen the first time I checked it, because it can actually show my front house. Philippines doesn't have that yet, but it was cool enough to see the roof top of my house from there. I was so fucking stoked man, I can actually see the elementary schools I went too, the trees where I used to take fruits from, my childhood friend's houses, the paoay church where my ancestors built, bakeries, the creek I never knew that trails all the way to the ocean, the place where I flight kites at, and so on.

I'm sure there are lots of stabbings going on too. In the other hand, I really admire their spirits man...

Ketsana, Tsunami, and Earthquakes

The last 5 days of September, these disasters happened, from the Philippines, Vietnam, Samoa, and then back to Indonesia. More like a boomerang thrown by mother nature. I just hope there's no ripple effect that would reach San Francisco and then towards the rest of the Bay Area. Not just Tsunamis but maybe like a typhoon. Otherwise I would probably start packing my stuff and runs to the hills. So instead of doing that, I made a list what you'll need for evacuation till you reach the safety zones or evacuation centers. It's just a list man, not a paranoia effect, but you just never know when natural disasters strikes out of no where.

I was just watching the GMA Filipino Channel yesterday, and they were lecturing few items that are necessary to bring with you as an emergency kit, as far of typhoon goes. And there were two things I never thought of as an important items to take with you, which was candies and a whistle blower. Candies gives you that boost when you're low in sugars, so chocolate bars are also a must in emergency evacuations. And a whistle blower, just incase you get yourself trapped somewhere. Sometimes people loses their voice for screaming or yelling too much, and a whistle blower can be a life saver.

For me, I think this would be important to do first, before listing the kits for evacuation.

It's always good to have a family Fireproof Safe or a Gun Safe. The once with combination locks. I say, it's a good idea to throw in your family values in there like old family albums, and other valuables like maybe jewelries. Also your computer External Hard Drives. You might have some business plans and important documents saved up in your External Hard Drives, so throw that in there too.

Anyway, here is my list of the things I would need:

1. Backpack: Just my regular Jansport brand backpack.
2. First Aid Kit: Triple Antibiotic Ointment, Bandages, Imodium A-D, and Tylenol should be enough.
3. Flashlight: I heard separating the batteries until you use it will prevent flashlight from breaking.
4. Lighters: Grab all the lighters I can find in my drawers.

5. Hiking Boots: Sneakers works too, don't use cowboy boots or some dress shoes.
6. Khaki Cap: Sometimes I feel naked without my hat.
7. Windbreaker Jacket: With a hoody and warm enough to sleep out in the cold.
8. Shirt: Throw in an extra t-shirt.

9. Camo Short: Throw in an extra short, I move better with this kind of shorts.
10. Underwears: Throw in two extra boxers and one pair of socks.
11. Towel: Avoid other things for wiping, bring your owl towel.
12. Wallet: Your ID, use cash, cards are no use when there are no electricity.

13. Toilet Papers: At least one should be enough.
14. Cell Phone: Good only if you can get a signal.
15. Dog Repellants: Defense against mad dogs and crazy people that haven't been sleeping for a year.
16. Whistle Blower: Just incase you got into a ditch and got trapped.
17. Compass: Sun rises from the east and sundown to the west.

18. Food: I prefer Nature Valley Bars.
19. Water Bottle: The one with a belt clip. And two extra bottled water.
20. Point & Shoot Camera: With a 2GB or 4GB memory card, and a car battery charger adapter.
21. Notebook and Pens: Whatever that needs to be written down, you can even doodle some images.

22. Toothbrush and Toothpaste: Place in a resealable plastic bag.
23. Burt's Bees Soap: Don't use other people's soaps. Any bars of soap will do.
24. Lock Lid Plastic Container: To store in all electronic gadgets, and cash or wallet, when it gets wet.
25. 35GB USB Key: Store in all personal documents, photos, and scanned old 35mm family photos.
26. Pocket Knife: For cutting ropes, boxes, opening things, and for a defense.

27. Playing Cards: Something to kill boredom, so play poker or 21.
28. Garbage Bags : For dirty clothes, wet cloths, wet towel, and to protect bag stuff from rain.
29. Keys: Your home keys and automobile keys.
30. Waterproof Watch: Nothing fancy. Something tough and waterproof.

Whoever reads this, I best recommend to also make your own list.

Dog Bites and Deep Fried Chicken

I should of used a staff. But at that time, I didn't even have time to think about it. I'll keep this in mind though that I should be more prepare for something like this. As I was preparing for dinner today, I saw these two dogs out the window wondering around in the hood, sniffing the grass, and the trees. There are always dogs wondering around the hood so I didn't payed much attention to it. Few hours later I saw the kid from across the street looking for something. Again, I didn't payed much attention to it, the kid is always curious. And I was thinking more about recipes and some tropical fruits. All of sudden I heard a scream. I looked out the window, and third house down from the left side of the kid's house was him, squatting down crying and screaming as he watches over close to his black poodle dog being mauled by the two dogs I saw wondering around earlier. Maan the kid was too damn close to them dogs, so I ran there fast as I could. As I got closer, I see the black poodle dog like a tag of war rope between the two mean lookin' dogs. It was like a scene from animal planet of two hungry lions biting on a baby wildebeest. The dogs seemed a lot bigger as I got closer. I yelled at the dogs and then I stupidly picked up a crumple news pepper off the ground and threw it, thinking it will drive them away. And of course that didn't do anything. And then I blanked out, I think I remember punching one of them dogs. The next thing I remember, was looking for another object and found a long metal pole. I wish I had a metal bat with me, or the wooden staff from my room. The long metal pole only made the dogs agitated as I poke them with it. As the kid cries with his hand bleeding, I asked where his black poodle dog at. And he says that his dog were already back in the house but his really hurt bad. I was like what!?!? Here I was poking at one of the dogs with a metal pole and the kid was standing behind me with his house garage still open. So I told him he should go back in the house to take care of his hand first, because he might of gotten some rabies from the dogs.

And then the kid's mother came out. The mother was looking for the dog's owner, but the kid was hurt. So I had to pick up the long metal pole again, and gave a sign language to my neighbor to call 911. Now I had to guard the mother and the kid following the mother as she knocks on the house's door where the attacked happened. But no one was answering. She says their dogs shouldn't be out on the street. I wanna tell her that she should go back in the house with her kid, because I don't think it's a good idea to be around them dogs. Finally, the mother and the kid went back to their house. And I ran back in my house. I left the oven on.

Then a white van appeared. A middle age blonde lady came out of the van and picked up the two dogs. The kid called her mother back out, and the mother ran out on the street to stop the van right in the middle of the road. I yelled at the other neighbor to write her plate number down. Two of them neighbor ran back out with a pen and paper. The lady in the van yelled at the kid's mother to "Get off the way you indian lady!!!" She was probably a racist bible fanatical middle age lady, because she was also cursing out Jesus' name. The cops and animal control service came by in about 20 minutes later.

Anyway, I told my mother what happened and she got mad. She says it was stupid and I should of left it alone, because I didn't have any medical insurance. That's very true...

The dogs might of been pit-bulls. But Elsie, my bro's lady says she saw the same dog earlier and believed they were Brindle. I checked out the internet and indeed they were Bensenji Brindle. An African breed dogs, and they look a bit like pit-bulls but leaner. They are known not to bark which makes them deadly because it's hard to read them dogs when they are in attacking mode. And the way I saw them attack the poor black poodle today, they are very ferocious animals...

I tried to capture the dogs but I shot the whole thing from the inside of the house through the window using a zoom lens. There was too much things I planned to do for the day as it is. And I got too tired too fast, I really need to get in shape.

Back to what I was doing, I think these fried chicken was a little too dry, all I added were salt and pepper, and deep fried them using peanut oil. The peanut oil is perfect for deep frying, plus you can store them for a reuse. And they do not splash. I was gonna use the backyard stove but the propane tanks needed refills.
